School size is very different - SDSU has 33,000 faculty and staff and SLO has 19,000 so its a much bigger campus. For example, AP Psych counted for GE but not a major support for him, same with APUSH, AP GOV, AP Spanish, AP Human Geo, AP Euro, etc. There were several levels of Physics needed in the major support as well as chemistry and Calc, so AP’s don’t knock them ... Cal State schools, like Cal Poly, have strong undergraduate programs. They don't have the graduate programs and research. They offer internships and coops, so you can have real hands on learning.
