Water adventure along the Danube

The Danube is the biggest river in Bulgaria. It is the natural border with our northern neighbour Romania. The beauty of the Bulgarian valley of the river make the region suitable for practicing various types of tourism, including rowing tourism.
 
NGO «Club Danube" can organize and assist the implementation of the following routes in the region of Silistra, Bulgaria, and Calarasi, Romania. 

ROUTE 1: Silistra – Popina – Vetren – Silistra
(the route is adapted for beginners)

FIRST DAY: Arriving in Silistra. Detailed instruction and allocation of crews and teams. Completing the necessary documentation. Test rowing in the area about two hours.

SECOND DAY: Transportation by bus to Popina village. Review of day schedule of the day and sailing. Rowing from quay at Popina village to Vetren village. Short brea and lunch in the fishing village.

Rowing from Vetren village to island "Bezimenen". There is an opportunity a photo-safari to be made. Construction of a camp and fishing for the enthusiasts. Campfire and dinner with fish soup and grilled fish. Accommodation provided in tents. For people, who are not fans of camping in tents, "Danube Club" organizes transport to Silistra.

THIRD DAY: Return to camp, a brief overview of the day and departure.  Anchor at the NGO "Danube club" base. Finish of the event and departure.

NGO "Danube Club" provides: boat, motor boat patrol, medical and first aid equipment, lifejackets, instruction, and licensed captains, tents, duvets, sleeping bags, luggage transport, insurance.

ROUTE 2: Silistra – Vetren – Calarasi – branch Borcea – Silistra
FIRST DAY: Arriving in city of Silistra. Detailed instruction and allocation of crews and teams. Completing the necessary documentation. Test rowing in the area about two hours.

SECOND DAY: Transportation by bus to Vetren village. Review of day schedule of the day and sailing. Rowing from Vetren village to island "Bezimenen". There is an opportunity a photo-safari to be made. Short break and lunch with fish soup and grilled fish. Rowing to cross-border point Silistra and Calarasi. Passing through the customs inspection. Overnight in hotel "Podul Patru" in Calarasi.

THIRD DAY: Rowing along the branch Borcea towards  the central part of the Danube Park in Calarasi. Viewing "Walk of Kings" and visit the local Zoo. Lunch at hotel and departure to Silistra.
