Iezer-Calarasi Nature reserve

It is situated in Lunca Dunarii on an area of 2 877 ha. 530 ha of its territory are inland water bodies and 2 347 ha – agricultural lands. It can be accessed by the national road (DN 3A),municipal and local roads. The lake is part of the migration corridor of the birds Via Pontica, most of which are protected - Dalmatian Pelican, Plain Pelican, Pygmy Cormorant, Robin, Red-necked Grebe, White Stork, Black Stork, Little Wild Goose, Red Duck, Little Egret.
