Sabri Hussain has lived at the end of XVII century to the middle of XIX century and most likely came from Bukhara. In the first half of XIX century he was one of the most respected sheikhs in Tutrakan and the region. He had the power to help the sick and the childless women. After his death was named Evliya - saint. Proof of this is his Turbe - octagonal stone building, built around the middle of that century. The wooden door is surrounded by a stone framework in which there is one ornament, representing an engraved pentagram, inscribed in a circle. In the Turbe there is also a Semahane, which is also octagonal, but is built of bricks and beams, and is most likely from the second quarter of XIX-century.
Today the Turbe of Sabri Hussain (also known as "Softa Baba Teke") is one of the iconic religious buildings in city of Tutrakan and a place often visited by tourists from Muslim (mostly for rituals connected with Ashura) and Christian pilgrims seeking a cure.
