The monastery „Radu – Negru“ was consecrated on March 25, 1913 by Bishop Valerian Ramnicheanul. The monastery consists of the Church „St. Martyr George“ (The Big Church) and „St. Stephen Archdeacon“ (Chapel). The architectural style of the church “St. Martyr George” is Byzantine, and its outer part is surrounded by a belt, built of red bricks. In 1992 the monastery, located nearby and abandoned two decades ago, is united with the church. In 1995 the monastery was consecrated by Archbishop Nifon, now Archbishop of Targovishte.
