It is relatively a new Orthodox monastery surrounded by lots of planted trees and by modern built cells. The first church in the complex is called “St. Constantine and Helen”. In 2003, the church was painted and consecrated by the bishop of Slobozia and Calarasi. Nearby is situated the archaeological reserve “Gradistea Koslogeni”, where artefacts from different historical periods can be found, including cemetery for cremation dating from the V - IV BC, a fortified settlement, XII - XI BC and a settlement from the Neolithic age (culture Bolintineanu, Hamandzia).
