Gumelnita Archeological museum of civilization

The museum was founded in 1957, as currently its collections are composed of 18 000 archaeological and collector exhibits. The building is constructed in the French neoclassical style.
The following historic periods are represented in the museum:

• The Neolithic age– Dudesti civilization (V millenium BC - ceramics), Boian (tools,  anthropomorphic and zoomorphic figures, ceramics) and Gumelnita (second half of V  millenium BC – flint tools, bone tools, etc.);
• The Bronze Age– Cernavoda I, Cernavoda II, Glina, Tei and Radovanu civilizations;
• Old World– Geto-dacii  civilization  (VI century BC);

Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 to 17:00;
